What should you do at Disneyland Paris when it rains? Focus on indoor rides, theater shows and a few breaks somewhere dry. The park stays open in rainy weather, and a shower may even thin the crowds, though that is not guaranteed. In its guide, Ayther also points out that a rainy day is mainly about planning ahead to limit time spent walking in the open.

Indoor rides to keep in mind

At Disneyland Park, Fantasyland offers several fully indoor retreats, including Peter Pan’s Flight, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Les Voyages de Pinocchio and it’s a small world. For a change of pace, head to Pirates of the Caribbean or Phantom Manor, then to Star Tours and Buzz Lightyear Laser Blast in Discoveryland. Le Passage Enchanté d’Aladdin is also a short sheltered walk, with no wait.

At Disney Adventure World, you can get out of the rain at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Ratatouille, Spider-Man W.E.B. Adventure, Avengers Assemble: Flight Force or Frozen Ever After. Check the Disneyland Paris app during the day to follow wait times and closures in real time.

Shows, arcades and smart gear

Indoor shows are a good chance to take a break: Mickey’s PhilharMagic and The Lion King: Rhythms of the Pride Lands at Disneyland Park, or Stitch Live! and Mickey and the Magician at Disney Adventure World. Seats are limited, so it is best to arrive early. Outdoors, parades and the nighttime show may be shortened, delayed or cancelled depending on the weather.

To cross Main Street, U.S.A. under cover, take Liberty Arcade or Discovery Arcade. A poncho keeps your hands free in crowded walkways; add waterproof or quick-drying shoes and a waterproof pouch for your phone. If you are visiting with family, bring boots and a stroller rain cover too.

Save outdoor rides such as Big Thunder Mountain, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Peril or RC Racer for a break in the weather: they may close in strong winds, heavy rain or thunderstorms. Indoor ride queues can fill up quickly on rainy days, so heading for the most popular ones at opening is a good idea. Finally, check planned closures before you leave: Les Voyages de Pinocchio from November 2 to 13, Phantom Manor from November 16 to 27, and Crush’s Coaster until summer 2027.
